I'm Janessa Prince, a Florida-certified teacher and Step Up approved reading tutor in Palm Beach County, with a master's in literacy and Orton-Gillingham training. Families with a Unique Abilities Scholarship (FES-UA) or a Personalized Education Program (PEP) account can pay me directly through the Education Market Assistant (EMA). I also work with AAA Scholarship Foundation families.

How Step Up pays for tutoring
With an FES-UA or PEP account, you don't pay me and wait for a refund. You reserve funds in EMA, and Step Up pays me directly after each session.

Questions parents ask
Do you accept Step Up?
Yes. I am an approved Step Up For Students provider, and families with a Unique Abilities Scholarship (FES-UA) or a PEP account can often pay me directly through EMA. The rate is the same whether you pay through Step Up or privately.
How Step Up pays for tutoring Do you work with AAA Scholarship Foundation families?
Yes. With a Unique Abilities Scholarship (FES-UA) through AAA, you can send AAA my invoice and AAA pays me directly. With PEP through AAA, you pay me and request reimbursement. The rate is the same either way.
Paying for tutoring with AAA Which scholarships pay for tutoring?
FES-UA and PEP can pay an approved tutor directly. Private School scholarships pay tuition and fees first, and tuition and fees come first, and leftover funds may pay for part-time tutoring.

What happens on the fit call?
We talk for 15 minutes about your child, what feels hard right now, and your goals. You get my recommendation the same day, even if I am not the right fit.

Every student starts with a baseline using short educational skill checks and observation. We set two or three learning goals, you get a progress note each month, and we review progress together every four weeks.
